While exploring blogs everywhere, I
saw both aspects that I admired and those that were not so appealing. There are
blogs about almost every topic a person can think of. There are advice blogs,
personal blogs and social media based blogs. I wish for my blog to have a real
purpose for its readers... that is if it has any readers.
I believe that by blogging you
learn to respect and vast range of people’s opinions. You get to see a more
personal and deep part of them. Hearing others point of view may cause you to
think twice about your own. It may cause you to question why you believe what
you believe. As a blogger, I want to experience these type of questions in my
own life. That is a personal goal of mine. I want to be able to learn more
about myself through what other people’s blogs teach me.
The one
flaw I observed in so many of the blogs I have read was the common theme of
negativity. Everyone has their own issues in their lives but simply complaining
about them does not accomplish anything. Blogging can be a way to tangibly put
down the way you are feeling. However, I do not believe in being submissive and
not taking action. Instead of sitting back and waiting for a problem to fix
itself, I believe in being proactive. Providing readers and fellow bloggers
with positive solutions to those problems will make them come back for more. People
will come back to those things in their lives that bring them joy while direct
themselves away from those anchors that weigh them down. I want my blog to be
helpful, insightful and most importantly, positive. I want people to remember
it for what they got out of it rather than simply the words I wrote down.
