Educating the World's Future Educators

Unlike the first video project, this one required more thought and creativity. The first was very structured in order to fit a certain criteria. However, I enjoyed the freedom of choosing the path I would take with this video. I wanted this video to be aesthetically pleasing while still being very informative. My first video has comprised mainly of the interviews so I decided to make this video have much more text and pictures then actual video footage. I am not sure if this video is any better or worse than my first, it is simply different.
I did, however, take into consideration some comments from our class discussion about videos in general. First, I wanted to make all of my text easy to read. That would require making adjustments to the time settings of each slide. Last video my text went by rather quickly and to be honestly I was not 100% sure how to fix that. Now that I know how to do that I made sure each slide has a sufficient amount of viewing time. Secondly, I wanted to add a more personal touch to my video. I did not really add anything about myself in the last one so I wanted to do that with this one. My classmates who do that for their previous projects had a special touch in their videos. I wanted that same spark.
Personally, I feel I am very good at working with iMovie. I believe that strength is very important because visually, my video is appealing. I feel that everything flows very nicely and everything has a purpose. In contrast, I feel that I could have done a better job making the topic a little more interesting to others. My video is interesting to me because it involves people that are important in my own life. I just hope that others will find it equally as informative and interesting. ENJOY!
